Education and professional career
Roderik J. P. Strobl holds a doctorate in business administration and empirical trust research on business relationships in the Swiss family office and banking sector, an MBA in international marketing and an EMBA in International Business. His BBA comprised studies in business administration, law and tax law. Roderik J. P. Strobl has been a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) since June 2008 and holds an SVEB certificate in adult education as well as internal banking certifications in investment advisory. In December 2023, he received the STEP Founder's Award in recognition of his many years of outstanding service.
Roderik J. P. Strobl has held numerous leadership positions at renowned, internationally active financial institutions and intermediaries based in Switzerland. He was responsible for leading teams as well as building and maintaining trusted relationships with private clients and family offices. His areas of expertise also include change management, strategic marketing, service innovation and the tax and legal analysis of wealth structuring instruments. In his former role as President of STEP Zurich, he contributed to various project groups of the Swiss Federal Tax Administration (FTA) and acted as a sparring partner for family offices on governance matters, including intergenerational succession. He regularly publishes articles in specialist journals and other professional publications.
