With more than 25 years of experience advising private and institutional clients, Rolf Kaufmann combines legal expertise, an entrepreneurial mindset and a deep understanding of complex wealth structures. For many years, he worked at the heart of private banking, advising clients in Switzerland and internationally, always with the ambition of turning complexity into clear and practical solutions.

«I want to be my clients’ advocate.»
As a lawyer, and by my nature, my clients’ best interests are close to my heart. My ambition is to provide my clients with the best possible advice. This means, on the one hand, understanding their wishes and needs and, on the other, recognising their concerns and apprehensions. Only then is it possible to identify the provider that is objectively best suited to their requirements.
To me, Zwei Wealth embodies this kind of client advocacy in its truest sense. Free from conflicts of interest, it is possible to act solely in the interests of the client.
Thanks to many years of working in the wealth management industry, I know the providers, their DNA, and therefore their strengths and weaknesses. I am also highly motivated by finding solutions to challenging situations, whether by drawing on my network or by adopting a well-considered approach. Nothing is impossible.
Artificial intelligence is set to bring about a profound transformation of the wealth management industry. The advantages of this new technology should be harnessed in ways that create genuine value, without losing sight of the importance of human interaction.
Rolf Kaufmann studied law at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and completed an International Wealth Executive MBA at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Geneva. Throughout his career, he has worked at various institutions in private banking and wealth management.
As a partner at Weissenstein & Partner AG and Managing Director at 1875 Finance, he was responsible for advising private and institutional clients. Prior to that, he served as Executive Director at Notenstein (La Roche), where, alongside advising clients, he developed strategic succession planning solutions and held leadership responsibilities.
He spent the defining part of his career at Wegelin & Co. Private Bankers, where he was responsible for establishing and expanding business activities in Switzerland and internationally, as well as for developing and leading teams. During the final five years, he was a partner of the firm.
Throughout every stage of his career, his focus has been on advising demanding clients, structuring complex financial and succession solutions, and building long-term relationships founded on trust. He combines legal expertise, strategic thinking and entrepreneurial leadership to develop holistic and sustainable solutions.
