Education and Professional Career

Stephan Meier has 37 years of professional experience in the financial industry, with a focus on asset management and fund distribution. For the first 17 years of his career, Stephan worked at UBS as a financial analyst and then as a portfolio manager with responsibility for UBS investment funds and client mandates in Swiss equities. When he joined Bellevue Asset Management as CEO, he added research and PM experience in the biotech and medtech sectors. And in his years as Head of Asset Management at Clariden Leu, Stephan was responsible for a broad range of funds covering all asset classes. In the last 10 years at Artico Partners and OpenFunds, Stephan focused on building a broad network of institutional investors. His work on the board of the SFAA and on the board of AZEK since the 1990s was very helpful in building this network. Stephan holds a master's degree from the University of Basel.

Stephan Meier is married and has three children. Sports is very important to unwind and recharge the batteries for Stephan, in earlier days as a handball player and nowadays as a keen and lifelong tennis player. Stephan also enjoys reading, especially history books and biographies.
