Daniel Hug has been a partner at Zwei Wealth since 2022. He manages his own client relationships (private clients, family offices, foundations and pension funds). He is also involved in the project to further develop the B2B client segment (Wealth Office Professionals), working with financial planners, tax experts and trustees. He has extensive experience in all aspects of banking as well as comprehensive knowledge of wealth management.

There is no single best asset manager. The trend towards specialisation among providers has been clearly visible over recent years. Clients will only achieve long-term success and satisfaction with their asset managers if requirements are clearly defined, selection takes place through a competitive tendering process, and results are regularly monitored. This approach demonstrably leads to better outcomes, lower costs, and makes everything simpler for the client.
To eliminate conflicts of interest, the separation of advisory services from actual asset management is becoming increasingly common in the private client business — mirroring what has long been standard practice in the institutional sector.
Since ZWEI Wealth neither manages assets itself nor receives payments from banks or asset managers, we have an objective overview of banks, managers, and their offerings that no one else can match.
In 1999, Daniel Hug completed his MBA from the Universities of Bern and Rochester (NY). He is also an alumnus of the Advanced Management Programme (2006) at INSEAD, Fontainebleau.
Daniel was responsible for the ultra-high-net-worth private client segment (UHNWI/Single Family Offices) at LGT (2015–2021). LGT is the family office and bank of the Princely House of Liechtenstein. Prior to this, he worked at UBS Wealth Management as Managing Director for Multi Family Offices (2011–2015) and at UBS Corporate & Institutional Clients as Head of Western Europe for Banks and Regulated Brokers (2007–2011). From 2002, Daniel served as Regional Manager & Client Relationship Director for banks in Switzerland and Liechtenstein at UBS Investment Bank. Before that, he was Head of Intermediary Business Securities and one of the founding members of the global initiative "UBS. The Bank for Banks" within UBS Warburg's equity trading division in Switzerland. Previously, he held various positions in Global Trade Finance at Warburg Dillon Read, including Business Development Manager for the Middle East (1996–1999), based in Switzerland, and an earlier role at SBV (Swiss Bank Corporation) Warburg New York (1991–1996) covering Latin America.
