Lionel Tschudi holds a master's degree in accounting and finance. After a first experience in project management with the Financial Service of the Canton of Neuchâtel, he took on the function of Finance Manager within the Cantonal Sports Service Department. At the same time, he rose through the ranks of Swiss football refereeing. Since 2018, he has been a FIFA international referee. He directs matches at the highest Swiss level as well as on the European scene.
